The Scroll Jars project is a series of large-scale
thrown porcelain jars that based on a long morphological research of the archeological Dead Sea Scroll Jars. The idea of pots as a container of words (scrolls) is fascinating, therefore I've used the white surface of the pots to express my roots and emphasized the idea by prints of biblical scrolls and my self-portrait (2D & 3D). The natural glazes and the firing in the wood kiln create a peaceful atmosphere and it refers to the Dead Sea landscape and the desert views.
