URIEL CASPI CERAMICS

Uriel Caspi’s ANTHROPOIDS investigate the anatomy of the Posthuman body, striving to extrapolate familiar human genetics into new forms, where the boundaries between nature and technology become indistinguishable. Oscillating between the human and the vessel, the forms evoke hybrid identities in the flux of time and environment. Collaboratively crafted at the historic Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur in Frankfurt, the works reflect centuries of tradition, yet dare to redefine the future of porcelain. Fired and glazed at high temperatures to achieve a smooth and vitreous surface, these porcelain figurines exist simultaneously in the classical past and the Posthuman future.
